Written Round
All the above questions were problem in hand seemed of medium difficulty range. The worth of negative marking was said to be nil. The overall cut-off that was fixed by CGI was thirty percent, at any one point in time, the figure was 70 percentile. I cleared this cut-off hence making me eligible for the further rounds.
Group Discussion
In this aspect, all those students who were successful in the first round were also successful in this round. In the group discussion, all of the people who are participating in the discussion were divided into groups, and every group is asign a specific topic. Ten of the topics included day-to-day activities and events present in the society. My group was told to discuss on the topic “Impact of IT on the economy as a whole”.
The interviewer also appreciated our poise, persuasiveness as well as our interpersonal skills.
HR interview or final interview round.
This round was actually not that difficult and for the first question HR wanted to know about my hobbies and what I consider as my strong qualities. Then, I had to evaluate myself in terms of team dynamics, communication and communication and knowledge about CGI company. After the same I was also asked some questions regarding das Programming languages C and C++ and particulars of Linux. I received about a week ago a proposal regarding term of training, and I got a joining letter after one month.
CGI Qualifications Criteria
Degree: BE/B.Tech Degree from recognized college/university
Stream: Computer Science/Information Science/Electronics & Communication
Cut-off Marks: 65% marks in graduation engineering and 60% in 10th and 12th.
Additional Criteria: No Current Backlog
Good analytical and Problem solving capabilities, compatible and impressive learning, technologies adoption.
Exposure to Java/ .Net / C/C++ / Python coding would be an added advantage for the student.
